Place a brass or SS grommet through the center of the harness waist belt on your left. Locate it back towards the backplate (just behind the left hip D-ring) about where your light is located on the right side. Make a loop of 1/4" surgical tubing (or bungee) with a knot/cable ties on the end large enough (the knot) so it would not pass through the hole in the grommet. The diameter of the loop should be smaller than the diameter of the rolled-up lift bag. When you are going to take a liftbag, slip the loop through the hole in the grommet (with the knot between you and the waist belt). Now you have a bungeed loop through which you can slip your rolled-up lift bag. It is up tight against your left side (like your light canister on your right); it is back behind your hip D-ring and out of the way of stages. Like your light canister, you don't even notice its there and it is easily reached when you need it. When not carrying a liftbag, take the bungee loop out of the waist belt grommet. Why does anyone need a 185# lift bag for a drift deco? My two cents, Doug -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
