OK, Brian, where do you want to start? First of all, your bright light
argument is crap - we use all HID in the WKPP. We do not mix dive lights,
since obviously this makes buddy tracking and communication difficult if not
impossible. I have no interest in your personal preference for dive lights -
I know better. The backscatter is usually a lack of focus which is what you
get with MRI heads - as well as inability to signal, but the people who use
them don't know what the term"buddy" means in the first place and don't have
a clue what a real light should look like in the water. We do.

The MLS is a disaster. The canister is a total wetdream. It needs a special
tool to open it and has captured o-rings. Only a moron would not understand
the problem there. For one thing, we use a surface o-ring only so that
should the light explode, the ring will blow out. Should the light offgas
and not explode, the ring will blow out upon surfacing and relieve the
problem in a properly designed light. The captured o-ring is a nightmare to
position properly and seal, and there is no way to view it from the outside
to see if it is seated properly - another case of moronity in action and
evidence of not have the foggiest idea of what this game is all about.

The canister does not have adjustable positioning of the retainer, which
means it can only be put in one position. It has a molded in loop, which is
a weak point.

The light has continuous connection by screwing in the lid, which means that
it can arc when being opened, a risk for explosion - another dumb ass piece
of know-nothing buffoonery.

The whole thing is a crappy design that has been convoluted and accommodated
with every kind of nonsense in a total afterthought to try to make it work,
and it does not hold a candle to the real thing that is available out there.

Brian, just because you chose to act first and ask the pros later does no
make this choice of yours any better - it merely makes my point - you don't
know any better and whoever sold this to you does not know any better, just
like whoever created this joke does not know any better. You got screwed.
Don't [pass the screwing on to somebody else.

I did not realize you copied this to techdiver. I thought it was just on
Quest, and that is why I made the comment that nobody on this list ( the
Quest list, a DIR list, not a stroke list) is stupid enough to buy something
like that and that is why I made the "we don't f**k our friends" comment.
Obviously there are more than enough idiots on the techdiver list who are
candidates for this light, but as I said, the right thing to do is admit
your mistake and send it to the circular file so you can sleep at night.

Do not advertise crap on the Quest list, and ignorance is no excuse.
