For those that may be interested: A GUE DIR Fundamentals class will be held on July 12, 13, and 14th, 2002 in the Lower Michigan/Northern Ohio region (exact locations to be determined at a later date-no further than 2 hours from Detroit). Class will be taught by Andrew Georgitsis, Training Director for GUE, and Michael Kane. Cost for this class will be $275.00. Participants are responsible for their own hotel, travel, food, and incidentals. You will also need to purchase a DIR Fundamentals book for the class. For those in the Metro Detroit area, these are available at Sea the World Scuba in Farmington Hills. Telephone: 248-478-6400. Be sure to click on the "DIR Fundamentals Course" link (Adobe reader required). Although the timing for the class is not final, we expect it to start around late afternoon on Friday, and end mid to late afternoon on Sunday. Pool sessions and lecture Friday evening. Lecture and dives Saturday morning/afternoon, lecture Saturday evening. Lecture and dives Sunday morning/afternoon. Once all of the times and locations are firmed up, we will pass this along to all class participants. A deposit of $150.00 will be required to hold your position in the class. Final payment will be due on July 1, 2002.
