A fair bit of the methodology deals with the variation in collection data due to operator difference in counting bubbles. > However it still does not resolve the main issue - > does there exit a causal relationship between deco > mediated bubbles & clinical DCS. That's exactly what the paper stresses also. The author himself states, they are a long way from establishing anything other than these ocular bubbles MAY be a useful tool at some stage in the future, but a lot more work is needed (and is being done now) All the dives were on air to PADI NDLs, since the volunteers were local rec divers. So that obviously opens up a whole raft of questions as to relevance when diving helium and doing correct profiles and deco versus the standard PADI bullshit. > Safe bubbles - irrespective how they R detected. > Esat Atikkan Amen to that. I contacted the author who forwarded the paper to me and has given his permission for me to make it available. It's a 340kb PDF I have slapped up at www.realworld.com.au/OccularTears.pdf This above version of the paper is somewhat abridged, the full papers are in the actual Journals: 1.. Bennett MH.
