Same problem for me - I can speak Spanish , so Italian and Portuguese are
close to understandable, but the real meaning is hard to be sure about. My
girlfriend is Italian, and she says it appears that they are both claiming
to be their own version of DIR and complaining about us in the text at the
same time.

The confusion about DIR among well intended people is bad enough. On one web
site, we have that idiot Mouth claiming he invented DIR. I think JJ had a
word with him about that, which I would love to post here.

Here is the key : ask me or go to the WKPP web site. We are the ones who
developed this system . WKPP is the purest form of it with zero compromises.

I did not find the page you say that references dir....
The closest word in the reports is 'dire' that translates to 'say'
If you supply the url I can try to help...
But I'm Portuguese, not Italian, so my translation is very rough...

They have some DIR thing on another page, but not being able to be sure
about my translation of the language, it is hard to say whether they are
criticizing DIR or just talking about it. You tell us, you appear to be
capable of reading it.

One ignorant question....
Where they do claim to be DIR?
They only have a link....

This type of thing pisses me off to no end. We now have
complete
strokes making some claim to DIR.  The same thing is happening up here;
Idiots who look, act, and dive like strokes, then add a Halcyon wing or
subscribe to the GUE list and suddenly claim they Do it Right.
Borderline criminal. The worst part? New guys, who want to learn
correctly, have a difficult time determining the truth and sometimes end
up standing at the waters edge with their shorts around their ankles,
mud all over their back, holding a c-card and asking "where am i?".
