Brownies is the dive shop I use and Dave Carmichael ( Robert's brother) is the guy who runs it and he does my shipping for me. The scooters support the WKPP project. Thomas Tukker helps me build the scooters, the parts are custom made by different manufacturers. I handle fixing anything other than where I have somebody trained to do it, like in Seattle. I need more people in areas where there are a lot of these to come let me train them on how to deal with anything that comes up. This just saves shipping. I can fix anything on one of my scooters in less than 5 minutes, so long as you don't flood the motor with salt water and leave it that way. Everything else is dead nuts simple and obvious, so I usually never hear from these scooters once they are sent. Some of mine are 10 years old and have never been fixed. Any little parts I can send out in the mail - they are all very easy to install. You can take one of these things apart in less than two minutes down to pieces. -----Original Message----- From: Thompson, Chris (IT Manager - IM&T) [mailto:Chris.Thompson@du*.wm*.nh*.uk*] Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2002 5:27 AM To: 'quest@gu*.co*' Subject: scooters, service etc Hi all, first time on list just wanted to make a couple of comments before withdrawing again into listen mode. I have now dealt (as a customer) with Halcyon, Gue, Brownies and George. The service has been exceptional, the quality of the equipment excellent. To give an example, I wired George some money for a scooter a week last friday, it was at Brownies last thursday and on my doorstep in the uk yesterday, amazing. George, the quality and machining on this thing is beautiful. Just on the list, this resource is great and the recent deco thread a real eye opener. A refreshing change from the 'other' list. ok, back to listen and learn thanks for your time chris --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: quest-unsubscribe@gu*.co* For additional commands, e-mail: quest-help@gu*.co* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
