Mike, I know you wish for that to never have happened, I think some good
can become of it, the guy lived, that is very big deal. Based on this one
sentence you posted earlier is the other big deal..

  >We have discussed this internally and are addressing the event in the
way we dive, to the extent possible.<

These dives are an eye opener when something happens, it will show you
where you are weak at and things that need to be covered. You guys are some
of the best divers I have ever seen, it can happen to anyone. You misread
my earlier post, Eric knows you do not blame him for what happen, he also
knows the diver is very thankful he "Happened" to be there to save him.
Eric will not discuss the dive with me, I had to get the info from someone
else. Eric just moved down there and wants to dive, he has this notion that
he will not get to go on anymore dives if he talks. If you do not want to
go public with this, fine. I will not push it any more. But it proves one
thing, it can happen to ANYBODY and everyone must have their ducks in a row
to handle it. I've had it happen to me and now you understand what I'm
talking about. If nothing else has been gained from these exchanges we know
that it can happen and it was not a NOAA dive like the rumors are saying. I
will not discuss this anymore unless you pursue this. You can pull the
sheets back up now.
