I don't know...the Viking manual calls the seals "latex". Then again, you can't 
beleive everything you read.

Viking seals are not latex, they are rubber.  That is why they recommend using 
dishsoap to clean the seals.  Talc is recommend for the dusting both the seals 
and the suit because it inactivates the oils that will degrade the rubber.
