Maybe one has a zipper . I get the no-zipper , short cut , 1/4 inch. I bought two 9 years ago, still using the first one, but the second one sits dutifully in the van , ready at any moment. JT, that is what you pay the 100 bucks for. How many hoods do most people have to buy in 9 years, and what would that cost? Most hoods crush out at the depths we dive and don't come back, and are useless paper after a couple of months. These stay the same indefinitely. When you see me recommend something that I had made for myself to anyone and it not be the best available at the time and make the most sense, I will give you all my dive gear and quit. This is still the best hood, and it makes all the difference in keeping you warm. -----Original Message----- From: Capt JT [mailto:captjt@mi*.co*] Sent: Monday, February 18, 2002 5:17 PM To: Scott Hunsucker; Manos Manoli; David Burnworth Cc: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: Re: Question for Geroge.... I am a little curious here, why on the page for cave and techdivers the hood cost 90 for 7CWHN2 and for the 7CWHLP is 115. Then you go to the accessories page and go to hoods that have the same order numbers as above and photos for those hoods are used again but they are less than half the price. If they are both made from G-231N then fine, go with the cheap page, if they are not why do they use the same number for ordering. The only difference that is noticeable is on the high dollar page you are called a "stroke" if you don't use it. Hoods are custom made and come in 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm, w/ and w/o face seal. 7mm is the way to go and the face seals are nice since they help keep water out. You will need to have them add vent holes when they make it, or you have to burn them your self. Hood cost about $100 US. Scott At 11:18 AM 2/18/02 +0200, Manos Manoli wrote: WKPP hood , i dont know.
