Being able to provide adequate dive instruction requires knowing something
and having practiced it for real, like the instructors who dive in the WKPP,
for example.

The crew of the Seeker hardly meets that test. For one thing, they have been
in the dark ages for ever, diving air, pony bottles, ridiculous rigs of all
kinds and doing so in a haphazard, buddyless, no plan haze for years.

Upon criticism and the emergence of a growing number of people who can see
the difference and with new agencies like GUE offering proper instruction,
the goons of old have had to seek out some way of validating themselves.
They never learned any basic gear, gas or diving, but now they can go buy an
electronic rebreather and take a quickie course and be big time big shots in
their own minds. Dress them up in anything and they are still hopelessly
lacking in any of the basic concepts that are so important to diving. These
people are of course enemies of DIR and all that it provides, yet can come
up with not a single argument that shows they are anything but idiots.

Diving an electronic rebreather solo with no bailout on a dive that barely
requires double 80's is typical stroke thinking. Why take a risk like that
when it is so unnecessary? The only time I use an RB is with pro teammates
in a situation for which rebreather solves problems, like cold, distance and
depth that make its risks outweigh the risks of open circuit. I do real
dives with a rebreather, these people are just playing in the bathtub and
dying doing it.

Funny how they all beat their chest and are so proud of their little toys.
Funny that none of them can ever get the job done. What is not so funny is
that they are stupid enough to think that these things represent some deco
advantage or other silliness, while operating under the same fog of
stupidity with which they have approached all of their previous diving.

You can't fix stupid, and you will not fix the Seeker crew or its regular
patrons. You can avoid them like the plague if you really want to learn
anything about this sport -they have nothing you want.

I would get into it but you resorting to this profanity just shows you
intelligence so I won't waste my time. I dive DIR so I can't explain
anything that is already known.

Now maybe you can tell us about Danny's rig: how about the air doubles
with an air pony strapped behind with a slobwinder to turn it off and on?
Start with that, you fucking asshole, and then see if anyone wants to follow
your recommendations. I can not believe that there are still human beings as
stupid as this. Give it a shot, big mouth.
