JU> I am presently involved in an environmental awareness program JU>for local high school students. As part of the project, students will JU>be snorkeling over seagrass beds in the Indian River Lagoon. We will JU>provide masks and snorkels that will be shared by different groups of JU>students and I am somewhat concerned about maintaining sanitary conditions. JU>Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to "sanitize" the JU>equipment after each use? If a chlorine solution (??%) is used, what is the JU>best way to remove the chlorine taste? JR, use alcohol instead. You wont have to worry about chlorine taste, but perhaps most importantly - there won't be any adverse environ- mental impact from trying to dispose of the sanitizing chemicals, this is an environmental awareness program! The alcohol will also evaporate quicker than you can clean anything else up. If it makes you feel any better, I worked in a hospital lab and thats how we cleaned up most everything.
