With what they expect everyone to pay why would anyone want to be involved? 
They could simply get training on their own. Participating only gives them 
a chance to get their ass kicked out.

What surprises me about this though is that Primedia or TDI couldn't step 
up with a budget to cover expenses? What a joke.

It will be easy to pick the 6 finalists.....whoever isn't bent by then end 
of this thing wins i guess.
