Patrick...
Sorry for the ambiguity...I'm not sure that anyone needs to go to this =
length, "Make sure your battery says B&B or nothing else on it to avoid =
confusion"; my YUASA battery is covered with near-impossible-to-remove =
type. Just reference this passage from the IATA:

"IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation,41th edition, Section 4.4 Special =
Provisions: Non-Spillable batteries are considered to be Non-dangerous =
if at temperature of 55 deg. C (130 deg. F), the electrolyte will not =
flow from a ruptured or cracked case and there is no free liquid to flow =
and if, when packaged for transport, the terminals are protected from =
short circuit."

My point is that the specific IATA regulation is easily cited for any =
commercial airline. Better still, anyone can get a copy of the =
regulations from sales@ia*.co*; request Dangerous Goods =
Regulations. IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations is the field document =
for the application of air mode Dangerous Goods documentation, labeling, =
and notification requirements. The Regulations are issued annually and =
are valid from Jan 1 to December 31 of each year. The Regulations =
contain not only the current regulatory requirements as issued by ICAO =
and the United Nations but also the latest State and Operator =
variations.=20

Hope that this clarifies things.

MAG
