Hi Martin, I guess I misunderstood your message below. I thought you said that only the green models required a special software program to switch between metric and imperial. And my message was to say that many more Vypers, other than the green ones, need the program to switch. My gray Vyper could not be switched intentionally without the program (which my dive shop did not have). Are you now saying that even with the program, the green ones cannot switch between metric and imperial? Because if you are, then this is news to me. Contrary to what Martin reported, I have found that the color of the computer does not necessarily imply one type or the other. My gray Viper displayed imperial only until someone at a dive shop did something wrong when changing the battery and then it was only metric. I needed to send the computer back to the company to get it changed back to imperial because all the dive shop could say was "it isn't our fault."
