Paul thanks. But the vanilla model works for me - plain 
webbing with glides behind the plate.

I have the same plate (1/4" 316 ss plate machined on the
Lacasse/OMS pattern) as James who asked the question, so 
I'm trying to figure why his slips and mine doesn't.
