The problem isn't with charging money for courses. The problem is the
monopoly created by the system. You don't have a choice but to take the
courses because you can't get fills of your favorite gas or boat trips
to your favorite site without the pretty card. This is mostly due to
liability issues (from the American legal system) and financial gain
from shops that participate in the monopoly (created by the American
free enterprise system). Enterprise isn't the only thing that's supposed
to be free in America.
