Tools for Apeks RegsYou should try a locksmith who works with =
door-closers. There are a few brands of door-closers, especially the =
older ones which are adjusted with pin spanners. They are low-tech and =
come with the door-closer. The locksmith should be able to get you one =
or two and probably for free. I know, i'm a locksmith and have a couple =
of those, and yes they work great with Apeks regs.

Good Luck,

Bart Adema

  Subject: Tools for Apeks Regs

  Greetings List=20
I am about to re-tune a couple of Apeks DS4's - the factory set IP is =
too high at just under 11 bar.=20
To get to the spring adjuster on the low pressure side I have to =
remove an environmental sealed cover/diaphragm and need to use a pin =
spanner. Some people call these hook spanners or hook wrenches. There is =
a picture of one of these spanners at an excellent DIR site

  http://www.deeperstuff.com/apeks-1st.htm=20
I was wondering if anyone know where I can get a couple of these pin =
spanner/wrenches? Is there a name/brand for this tool? Where should I =
look?

The only spanner I can find like it is an "adjustable" pin spanner by =
"Snap-on" and they (the retailer) wanted about US$65 for it. This seemed =
a bit steep. I suppose I could make one but wanted to seek advice first.

  thanks in advance=20
