I have experience with Abyss and their gear --

I designed and built the backplates, single and dual
tank adaptors that they now sell as their own designs.
Contrary to what they have in the advertising shpiel
on their website, they have no "engineers". Unless
that's what they call people they lie to and use.

I can tell you that there are few decisions I have
made in the past 20 years that I regret more than
trusting these "gentlemen" and getting involved with
them. Calling them liars is an insult to liars. Do
yourself a *big* favor and don't bother with these
clowns.

There are lots of their computers for sale, with very
little use. You can pick one up for $500 or less. I
know of several people who are fighting to get their
money back on the damn things.

The reg Abyss sells is nothing more than a stock
Poseidon 1st stage(with the IP turned down) and a
stock KM second stage. You could assemble one just
like it yourself for less than they will rip you for.
Get Apeks regs. They are simpler, cheaper, and more
reliable.

Buy the Halcyon rig. Halcyon is an innovator, not an
imitator. Halcyon's customer service is without peer.

I am comparing an Abyss BCD with Halcyon and was
wondering if anyone here has any experience with Abyss
gear...apart from the ubiquitious Trimix computer.

Also, Abyss have "produced" a reg that's a marriage of
a Posiedon first stage and a Kirby Morgan second. Has
anyone here used one of these?

Many thanks,

AGB
