Again, I told you that so far I have the only one other than Reinhard's team and JJ. We have not explored with them yet in Florida, only did long rides on them to see what would happen. Reinhard and Michael just broke the European distance record using the RB 80. Local WKPP diving has been down for a long time so we have nothing to report. -----Original Message----- From: David Burnworth [mailto:xlh883@ea*.ne*] Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2001 10:13 AM To: Trey Cc: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: Re: WKPP TV Special What other programs have been made and how do we get a hold of them? I thought the RB80 would be a little more streamlined than the older Halcyon's. The ones you all wore in the tv show looked really boxy and heavy. We made four programs at once there for a while. With the RB 80 we pick up 50 feet per minute of speed, so we can go about 8,000 more feet in the same bottom time, or get the old distances done faster. We needed this to make exploration of side tunnels more reasonable ( some begin between 12 and 17 thousand feet into the cave ) and it mainly will allow us to go further downstream in Leon Sinks where we do not expect to have a sinkhole for miles. Right now, the only people who have RB 80's are myself, JJ and Reinhard's team. Halcyon is producing more of them soon. Mine was made by Reinhard. -----Original Message----- From: David Burnworth [mailto:xlh883@ea*.ne*] Sent: Monday, September 17, 2001 12:02 AM To: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: WKPP TV Special I just saw the WKPP program on OLN for the first time. All I can say is, VERY IMPRESSIVE! Before, I could only imagine what WKPP did and now I know. I wish I could do that type of diving, but I know my current limits. I intend to go a little more in my diving, so GUE Tech I is the next step. For now, I am content to lurk on the techdiver list an learn from the experts. Now for a question or two: How old is this program and is the WKPP using the new RB80 rebreathers? How much of a difference have the RB80's made in distance since this program was made?
