I happen to be an ordained deacon in one of the better known Protestant sects.
I also did a minor in comparative religion in college. I am extremely familiar
with the
teachings of Msrs. Falwell et alia. Obviously he does not advocate mass
murder. However, xenophobia and homophobia mixed with the midset that sees an
act of mass
mahem as "God's Will" is warped. And, as Allyson pointed out, those statements
had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity any more than Tuesday's events
had to
do with Islam.

If you would like confirmation, ask JT, he and I were talking about it in
between dives. Posting an "after" picture wouldn't have been as funny, which
is what the whole
thing was all about anyway. I can hardly wait till my son gets back from
college and sees the "award" they put on his tanks (his were empty so I mixed
them and brought
them to VA with me :-)
