This is pathetic. I had my moment of anger at Bush I and II and even
expressed it elsewhere, but realized (with some help) that stooping to
pointless partisan bickering is exactly what these zealots would love to
see. Congratulations, you have just given aid and comfort to the enemy.

Because America is a strong nation we will, Liberal, Conservative, and all
the other Americans of whatever ideological stripe, come together, despite
such rants, and heal the wounds. Then to paraphrase Yamamoto the "sleeping
giant" will awaken and will be filled with a terrible resolve.

I only hope that in that resolve we strike at those responsible and not be
forced to kill innocents as they have done -- that is part of what sets us
apart, our decency.  It will certainly be tested. If we kill pointlessly we
will create new faceless cadres willing to die to attack us.

I also hope that we don't stop with one ejaculatory response and then return
to complacency. 

I remember the movie "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL." The ultimatum to earth
was be peaceful or be obliterated. They (Michael Rennies, aka the Spaceman)
had instituted a system in which aggression would not be tolerated from any
quarter, where any aggressor at the moment of his aggressive act --for
whatever reason -- would be obliterated instantly.

However we do it, we must do all we can to end terrorism.
