In the first place I think it is revealant how somebody tries to
attribute quality concerns to a specific item because of it's other
uses.
This person should look for a history of childhood abuse or other mental
problem if he thinks quality is suspect because of use in sewerage
systems( probably a psychological problem with wastewater and fecal
matter)

Sewerage, or in this case rather freshwater supply tubing are mostly
classified into 3 pressure categories ( inner pressure) 
6/10/16 bar). They are not exactly cheap.
They suffer from and withstand considerable mechanical stresses in the
construction business even while being handled, and have a big margin of
safety.

This person should perhaps use some kind of fenders or reflect his
diving style if he manages to break this.
