I used contacts on several dives max depth 70m. No problems at all (didn't try to change change masks however) kind regards Edwin van Riel -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: karen cleveland [SMTP:karencleve@ho*.co*] Verzonden: woensdag 5 september 2001 0:03 Aan: techdiver@aquanaut.com Onderwerp: Contacts/ Deep dives Was just curious if anyone has encountered any post-dive issues when wearing disposable contacts on deeper dives? I have never had a problem until a dive this weekend. Not real sure if it was "eye bends" or what? Did a mix dive to 240 (coldwater) had to use back-up mask, which of course had not been worn much, and it kept fogging up. I had to flood it about every 2 minutes so I could see my guages, this continued through the entire dive. I even took it off to rub kelp in it. Completed deco, no problems, and returned to the boat. 30-40 minutes later things were wavy on the periphery of focus. Removed contacts and still had wavy bits on the edge of focus. That cleared up, but things got cloudy...like after you get out of a pool with too much chlorine. Anyway cloudiness resolved after 3-4 hours after the dive. Has anyone ever encountered this, just curious and the archives seem to be down.
