I agree Christina.  Maybe the good ol' days of good instruction are gone.
I learned gas % optimization and had to do 3 dives, 2 on EANx and 1 air
to get by "basic cards".  Using EANx in deco and/or multiple mixes *was* the
difference between "Basic" and "Technical" Nitrox certification when I went
thru.
