Rick, I have a Sony-1000 in an Amphibico housing. The housing is rated to 100m or 330ft. I have used it to depths right up to it's rated limit and it has remained water tight. The controls are full electronic and the buttons can be a little "hard" at depth. You can't take it for granted once you've hit the record button that it has actually gone into record mode. At depths over 280ft you have to key the button hard and double check through the view finder to make sure it is recording. If not, key it again harder. I have recently used a Sony PD-150 and a Sony-2000 both in Gates housings. The Gates housing, I believe is rated for 400ft. The controls are mechanical and fully manual. I found the controls to be finicky and frequently difficult to operate. I also found the viewfinders on the Gates housings to be optically inferior the Amphibico's. If you're looking for a housing good to a 100m/330ft I'd highly recommend the Amphibico line.
