Stay away from VPM decos like oil on water. The VPM has been tested on Jell-O, Rats, and Salmon. If you'd like to be next, then step up and pet the deco pony. The fine piece of software "Vplanner" was written by Ross Hemingway, and is not available from my VPM site's url (above). Vplanner is a GUI-fronted (ahhh... that's not GUE) version of Erik Baker's state-of-the-art Fortran implementation of the results of his collaboration with the late Prof. David Yount and myself on extending the original VPM to modern diving scenarios. We believe that the only responsible thing you can do with deco algorithms is to provide the full open source code listing. So then, anyone who wants to understand the modeling can see behind Mr Wizard's curtain --and make informed decisions.
