It could be said that these divers are the main feeders of Bull & Tiger Sharks. It is not an unusual occurrence for a fish to be speared by diver only to have a bull shark rush in for a meal. Good Diving, >> Actually it is. I spear almost every time I am in the water, and with a total logged dives up to over 375(in about 13 months) and probably 250-275 fo them with spear gun in hand, and then about 200 of them with fish in hand coming back, I have only encountered a bull shark once. Maybe it's because my kill shots are good, and I don't have the fish struggling. Maybe we should just outlaw fishing, as those people usually chum. I think that would do more good than outlawing spearing. RE: Marine mammal intelligence as it relates to fish intelligence, the point was, and still is, if you feed fish, they will come to associate humans with food. Hence, they will congregate where they hear motors(chumming for fishing) or where they see these weird creatures in their water wearing these weird rubber things.... However, I do have a serious question: Does anyone know of any divers actually being bitten? Or is it just folks on the beach swimming, surfing, or swimmers off boats? Just curious.
