I use a Kodak DC-290 digital myself. It takes pretty good pictures. Be forwarned however, digital cameras are very sensitive to the amount of ambient light in the water. If it is cloudy your pictures won't come out, or if they do be very dark. I use an Ikelite Video Lite that was designed to go onto my housing. It works pretty well for the camera. I still ocassionally get a bad shot. Not everything is perfect.
