Subject: Re: Sharks and the Media
To: techdiver@aquanaut.com
Hi all

Since the topic of shark attacks seems to popular right now I thought I would
pass along this tidbit of info.

I live in the Pensacola, Florida area and the local media covered the shark
attack on the young boy here in great detail.

Two facts about the story amazed me. One, that the shark hung around the area
with the boys arm in his mouth (and that he didnt gulp it down for that
matter).

The second one being that the uncle was not only able to CAPTURE the shark,
but also wrestle it to shore barehanded.

It sounded pretty darn outrageous to me, but the proof was all there...

Now I have been outa touch with the pop media for awhile so maybe this did
show up somewhere else, but a local friend of mine says he never saw anything
like this in the popular media.

While the boys story is truly sad and I certainly hope the best for him, if
what I have attached is true, then the media has surely not lived up to any
professional standards.

Now, I have not tried to confirm any of this, so take it with a grain of
salt, but if I had to bet money on which story is really true, I would
certainly place it on the story below.

This account certainly explains how such feats were accomplished.

Anyway, here it is...
