Cobb,

What we generally do is jump in with the deco bottles clipped off and then
have the scooter handed down..  We generally have about a 5' drop..

The other option is to clip off your scooter on you deco bottle line, gear
up, jump in and then grab your scooter..

Either way seems to work well...
