About 7 years ago, one of my fillings popped out after what was then a =
normal ascent (18 metre/minute). I had all my fillings checked then and =
some replced. The last 2 years I started diving a lot more, with a =
minimum of once a week, but mostly2 or 3 a week. Dives have also become =
longer and deeper and it happened again, twice and on 1 dive I had to =
suck the air out to keep the filling in place. Also, every 2 or 3 months =
one or two fillings just have to be replaced. It looks like they just =
crumble. All new fillings are being X-rayed to check for cracks and to =
make sure no air is under it, or can get under it.

This made me wonder, do fillings take up nitrogen/helium? Can it be that =
they offgass so slow bubbles are formed within, which causes these =
problems? Anyone has the same problems? Maybe the teeth itself offgas in =
a way the filling comes loose?

Thanks in advance for any answers

Ferry

PS. Yes, I do brush my teeth.
