I am sorry, I did not mean to imply I had not idea about side scan sonars. If fact, this is the setup I am currently working with, a Geometrics G881 cesium magnetometer, a CODA Technologies DA75 side-scan sonar data acquisition system with an Edgetech 500-kHz digital sonar towfish, a Furuno FCV-667 echo-sounder, and a SatLoc differentially corrected Global Positioning System using OmniStar correction. What I am really asking is if anyone has seen a deal on a affordable, reliable and portable used system. I have a friend living in Egypt that is in the market to buy one and I am just trying to collect as much information as possible.
