I have to go with Scott, The whole world is not DIR. Here (UK) it is / was
not especially easy to get GUE instruction.

On the other hand I had local access to a TDI instructor who was very good
and openly discussed DIR Vs TDI philosophy and pointed out the crap in the
TDI.

Again the bottom line is _it ain't the agency its the instructor_. I am
ready to believe that GUE has NO crap instructors - its a small agency -
TDI does have some poor instructors AND some very good conscientious, safe
and quality instructors.

Personally the name on the qualification card is secondary to me, it ain't
going to save my ass when it all hits the fan on a dive - how good the
instruction I received stands a chance in helping me out - If that
instruction came from GUE or Mickey Mouse I frankly don't give a toss.

>Extended Range

Its a dinosaur, it is no longer mandatory to take it before using mix, its
on its way out, in short it is complete bollox - agreed, no defense, no case.
