Gee I hardly ever post on here but this is a subject very close to my heart..
I'd like to know what the Knots are before I jump, and what to expect as a
result..

I agree about the overestimation of Knots... I hear it lots too... but i'm
curious..

I'm very familiar with the florida dive bomb mode, but there is also the bug on
windshield splat mode if you do actually find the wreck... followed by the
white knuckle mode to get back again...

so not to make too light of the situation.. but...

On some of those white knuckle days... I have asked the boat captain what they
are measuring while anchored at the wreck and have had the answer 2 Knots...
yet on this particular day I was able to make it down to the wreck on the line
(it was hard but not impossible)... Was his gauge just off or is it really
possible that it was 2 Knots.....Or is there some other physical property that
means you can't use this type of measurement at all..

Also... you can have a bad day because you have 2 stages and a drysuit, but
another guy/gal with a single tank and a skin can be as happy as a clam
(assuming that clams are happy)...

I'd really love to figure out just exactly how many Knots is diveable... or is
it just a function of how much gear you happen to have on a particular dive...
Maybe you need to standardize the gear and other related variables before
making experimental data...

Lobster Lady...

OK... now back to lurking...
