I own the 200M version, and the documentation doesn't say "push all the =
buttons you like". It says=20
"watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving".
The web site however does state the following:
http://www.timex.com/html/help_glossary.html#W
NOTE: TO MAINTAIN WATER-RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS UNDER WATER =
UNLESS YOUR WATCH IS INDICATED AS 200 METER WATER-RESISTANT.=20
Chris did not state which version he is using.
Oh, and I DID buy my 200M version for $39 at Walmart. :)

No, he trusts his life to a $50 watch with instructions that =
specifically that THIS *PARTICULAR* Timex Ironman Triathlon model will =
NOT flood if you press the buttons underwater.
The 50m and 100m models carry the warning you describe. The 200m =
model basically says "push all the buttons you like".
RTFM.
Or go read www.timex.com.

For planning I use a Dell P4 1.3Ghz with DecoPlanner. In-water I =
use wetnotes media, a multi track organic processor between my =
shoulders, and a Timex Ironman watch.
