Jim, How many times do I have to tell you. You gotta quit beating around the bush and just come out and say how you really feel about an issue and quit worrying about hurting someone else's feelings! And for the love of Mike, boy, show some passion ! <VBG> Semi-seriously, the only reason I can see for using a Y or an H valve is to maintain the same regulator configuration for your singles that you have with your doubles. That's why I bought 3, Y valves. I even stuck one in a tank and dove it once. Haven't dove a single tank since. Cost issue? Sea Elite iso manifold new costs $169 + $30 for rubber knobs & springs. Most folks have two tanks. Can you get a new Y valve for under $100? I know a new H valve costs more than that. So the Y or H valving for two single tanks will cost you more than an iso manifold for a set of doubles! Hmmmmm. Glad I bought my Y valves used! Look out E-bay here I come! Hey bidder, bida bida, bida, bida, bida...... Dave Dalton Disclaimer: The above represents only "my-never-to-be-humble-opinion". If it offends anyone, in any way who is bigger or meaner than me, I will not only retract it at once, but will happily swear under oath that I never said it! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Cobb" <cobber@ci*.co*> To: <techdiver@aquanaut.com> Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 1:30 PM Subject: H/Y valves, Pony bottles, Invisible demons. > I repeat I have nothing to do with GUE or DIR. > > > 1) Smaller profile > > To do what, wreck penetrations?
