Michael Walz asked > >Could you tell me please the name of the company that manufactures those >Swiss valves you were talking about ? > Unfortunately I can't and I doubt you could buy from them anyway. They are an OEM - manufacture them for other suppliers who then sell them. For example the Isolation manifold I have appears to be exactly the same as the DiveRite unit at a significant saving. I guess this is because the Unit is manufactured in Switzerland and then finished to the supplier's specs - ie fit burst disks if required for the market, Tank thread M25 & etc. Then shipped to the supplier. So for the DiveRite unit it first goes to the US and is then exported from there to the local importer in Australia who then supplies the dive shops who finally sell it. My unit came from Switzerland to the Australian importer/distributor (Stirling) who then supplied the dive shop. Hence it's cheaper because one layer is knocked out. BTW I'm talking here about a convertable DIN isolation manifold that can either take 200 Bar DIN regulators or standard yoke regulators. Note that the term 200 Bar DIN describes the length of the thread, a 300 Bar regulator will screw into this unit and seat (at least my Poseidon does). The distributor tells me that the manifold itself is rated at 240 Bar enabling it to be used with the 232 Bar tabks they sell, plus if you make certain mods you can change that. Hope this helps. Thanks to the people that responded about 300 Bar DIN Isolation manifolds, there appears to be a new stainless steel model being released shortly manufactured in Sweeden - will keep you all posted. ------------------------------------------------------- Zyg Poliniak | Phone: 61-3-252-3072 (B/H) | Fax: 61-3-252-7390 (B/H) Melbourne | Email: <zyg@ac*.ne*.au*> Australia | Email: <100353.1605@co*.co*>
