Ed,

Just a did a quick bit of maths on the mixes used. Max depth 131metres, mix
9/60. This gives an END of 45m?

I listened to a talk by Mark Reeves at a dive show, and he said they turned
up at the site with the wrong mixes because they thought it was shallower
than it was. He went ahead with the dive because he was 'used to deep air'
and 'could handle the narc'!

Sounds like the recipe for a HUGE clusterfuck to me. The fact that there was
an Inspiration on the trip surprises me not one iota.

The reason for the dive is not in question. It was very noble and good. The
methods, even to a tech newbie like me strikes me as a bit slapdash. Why not
send someone out to check the depth of the wreck before they went?

Just because they get records doesn't make them good.

Safe diving,

Chris

Right, back to lurking!

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over here,
looking through your stuff.
