Chris, Please resist grouping NAUI Tech into the "tech agencies other than GUE" catagory. NAUI technical courses emphasize the importance of the team approach to diving and promotes DIR/Hogarthian gear configurations and attitudes. Since I'm not intimately familiar with the current standards and requirements of the other agencies I'll refrain from commenting concerning them. I will, however, mention that in times long past my IANTD training did not include anything concerning "when to abandon your buddy."
