Christian, your post raised some interesting points, if you think about the process of people walking into a dive shop of the street and being wowed by the nice glossy pictures and gear hanging around its not hard to see people get sucked in by the whole scene. At this point is where they get lost in the bullshit and everything flows on from here so its not surprising to see the perpetuated crap that is carried on through the training agencies, IANTD included. Just take a look at all the courses they produced to vacuum money out of your pockets. In a way its obscene. Mount, Gilliam and co should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the nonsense to continue on in the light of known better methods and techniques. I guess they have dug such a big hole they now can't even see light! Sadly it will all carry on until they get sued out of business, that will be a great day indeed :-), lets not forget the progress that has been made in changing peoples attitude and approach and the adoption of DIR is spreading. I look forward to the day of seeing stickers on shop windows saying "DIR Compliant" Bruce >Is TM?
