Subject: Re: Left Post Knob - Reverse Thread ?
I definitely would reject the idea oft left-threaded posts.
Not only for the increase in spare parts, stock costs.
But because our muscle memory is trained from day one we use a water tap
that turn right means close.

A solution to ceiling rolling closed valves should be accomplished
without creating line traps, while maintaining standard closing/ opening
motions.
May be just an off axis knob, like in early US -divers/ Spirotechnique
manifolds ( axis aiming 'bout 70° backwards)
