Dr. G , it is one of those things we all need to know. When I started diving, I got taught by my father's boat captain, who put the gear on me and said, " carry the catch bag and don't hold your breath on the way up". We dove the wall at Walker's Cay, and I was hooked. I saw this guy in Brownies the other day, and we had a good laugh. Anyway, I then started looking for information since I liked doing this so much. There was an still is virtually none in the training agency domain, I got it all from other sources. Hopefully GUE will correct that. Right now, you know who makes the most money off of PFO? Alton Hall, in court, and he wins every time as he should, and as the plaintiffs in the tobacco cases should. The "prevaricators" and party liners can run, but they can not hide from Alton. Thank God, because the ONLY thing that works in this game is a swift kick in the balls. Logic, reason, fact and experience mean nothing to the dive industry - only the foot to the toolbox, my specialty, and Alton's retirement fund. Anyone who teaches diving and does not make their students aware of this is a criminal in my opinion, or a moron. -----Original Message----- From: Wendell Grogan [mailto:wgrogan@dc*.ne*] Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2001 10:43 PM To: Trey Cc: Roberto Hashimoto; Quest@Gu*. Good news is that as long as he heals up OK, he will probably do fine diving, assuming he is more careful in the future. Seems to me that some wise man once said something along the lines of "the devil's in the details."
