A couple weeks ago I asked for opinions as to the best tech BCD on
the market at the moment. Someone asked me to post the results of that
inquiry so the folllowing are the replys I got, with names removed to
protect the innocent:

Several people whose opinions I respect told me they thought it (Dive
Rite Transpac) was better than the OMS.

I like the soft backpack

Just got the Dive Rite trans pak in and I think its great. A lot of
thought went into it and it is very functional. If you need any more
information contact Dive Rite in Lake City Fl. at 904-752-1087. They
sold lots of the BC's at the DEMA and TEK shows so get your order in
and aviod a wait list.

I bought the OMS BC three weeks ago and I love it. I had to cut a
mile of straps off it or else use them for up line :-). One item that
they could add is the little strap retatiner where the belly strap
goes into the backplate and then back out to the shoulder straps. That
would prevent the shoulder straps from changing dimensions. Otherwise
I havent experienced any of the problems of air ttransfer from side to
side that has been discussed. I feel that it is easier to get neutral
with the wings vs the stabilizer jacket. I have yet to dive my doubles
on this BC so I will let you know more later. I paid ~$400.00 for the
OMS with single bladder.

Seatec makes a good one.

Mahalo to all those who replied.
