I just marked up a bunch of nylon with a red Marks-A-Lot and a black one as well. The red ran all over the place once it got wet, the black stayed exactly where I put it. May I suggest to take it a little further? Bring it on. > Why not use black paint, stain or ink instead of a Magic Marker? India ink sounds good. Stain would probably not mark nylon very well and paint would make more of a mess than a mark. > Dipping the end of the 2x4 into a paint bucket will give you a more even band for > the mark, at 2"-3" in length, and absorbed throughout the line. See above regarding generation of mess. I don't mind marking my turf, but I try not to get carried away. :) Mashing the 2x4 into a big stamp pad has possibilites. > Whereas a Magic Marker 'mark' is much smaller in size (to see) and may not cover all > around the line, where you may see it on one side of the line, but not the other. I wouldn't just take one swipe at the line anyway. A big marker (my old 44 Magnum marker went dry a while ago so I'll either get a new one or go with the India ink) can put a lot of ink out. > Just trying to help :-) ...... and doing a pretty good job of it.
