Your implication that cave diving is a competitive sport is way off base.
There is no room in cave diving for any type of competitive one upsmanship.
When divers start daring or pushing each other into going a little further
or a little deeper they end up with someone dead.  Thats not even close to
what the sport is about.

The real deal is to share the knowlege and information and to pass it on to
others.  Thats how everyone that has been doing it a while learned.
