Subject: DAN Scam
To: techdiver@aquanaut.com
the one thing that DAN has always been good at is to
take money from divers. Between the corporate
extortion, the constant begging through dive clubs,
magazine articles, bogus fund raising programs they
are really the best scam artists around.

As to the insurance program, there are hundreds of
chambers all around the world that DAN has beaten out
of payment for services rendered. The insurance they
sold during most of the 90;s was all self-insured with
a private company in the Cayamans.

Sure they have a good front, the ability to get you to
a chamber is quite good, but that's done by the nice
people who answer the phones. You have to look
upstairs in that building that Bennet had the balls to
name after himself to see the real corruption.

At the end of the day someone in the loop will be left
holding the bag and it wont be DAN.

Dig deeper ..... you will find the truth.

---------------------------
I had a bad experience trying to get DAN to pay for a
chamber dive.
Dealing with DAN was a huge pain in the ass. I sent
them all the required
paper work and just assumed everything was taken care
of until I started
receiving collection notices from a collection agency
hired by the hospital.
It took several phone calls and several weeks of me
filling out all the
paper work (AGAIN) to finally get them to pay their
share. It turns out
that my primary insurance carrier ended up paying for
most of it anyway.
The good part about DAN was arranging for the chamber
and getting all the
logistics taken care of, but you really have the pry
the money from their
tight little fists.
