Paul, sounds like your suit is just too small. Compressed neoprene stretches, so to be tight in the legs your suit must be stretched all the way out. I don't think you are screwed with polarfleece if your suit floods unless you have a several hours deco or are in ice water. If this was the case we'd loose about a diver a week around here.
