I doubt it is a majority, more likely a highly visible minority. The concept is true enough. When I first landed on this list and sent a "hello" message, several members replied to me off list. Most were very helpful. However, a few obviously thought they had a cripple to pick on. While new to the techdiving world, I'm an old submarine sailor and currently work in talk radio, so I didn't come in on the midwatch. I blew the jerks off rather easily. Some became civil, some disappeared. I am most definitely "in touch with my inner asshole" and have a good background in putting people and machinery in the ocean. Not all new arrivals come so equipped. While I support George, the lynch mobs around here are not part of the solution. I don't have an answer to it and I suspect there is nothing George could do about it whether he wanted to or not.
