Thank you, Kevin, Pina, et al, for your level-headed responses.

I already had v7 of Media Player installed and was puzzled.  Kevin, as soon as I
read your message, I tried MS IE instead of my default Netscape.  Everything
works fine in IE.  However, beware, this is what happens when the 2,000 lb.
gorilla from Redmond throws his weight around.  I'm told (I'm not a techie) that
the scripting is MS non-standard and that is why it does not work in Netscape
but does work in IE.  I have run into this before with web page HTML.
