Thanks Simon, I have an OMS ali, and a Bruce Stewart s/s plate. Bruce manufactures gear and sells on the net here in Australia., www.triton-dive.com I had this discusion with George I about shorter plates for women. He said Pina uses the same size plate. But Bruces are longer than an OMS. Hence I wondered what the dimensions of the Halcyon (=industry standard) are. I am trying to talk my wife into a backplate and wing, for recreational diving. Hence I thought I would nail the dimensions for once and all. Sus is 5 foot tall and about 95 lbs. BTW Simon, you have a nice site. Regards, Jeff the Darwinian. ----- Original Message ----- From: Simon L Hartley <shartley@sc*.ed*.au*> To: Jeff Swann <jiswann@au*.ga*.ne*> Sent: Wednesday, March 07, 2001 2:18 PM Subject: Re: Back plate > Jeff, > > At 17:53 6/03/2001 +0930, you wrote: > >If you have time, I was wondering if you couls measure the length of the > >your halcyon back plate. > > I actually have an OMS backplate :-( > > When I bought it Halcyon wasn't making an aluminium plate so I had to make > do.
